Vitals Almanac is supported by its readers. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission. You never pay more because of it.
What that means in practice
We take part in affiliate programs, including the ClickBank affiliate network. When you click an affiliate link on this site, the partner records that the referral came from us. If you then buy, the merchant pays us a percentage of that sale.
The price you pay is set by the merchant and is exactly the same whether you arrive through our link or type the merchant’s address directly into your browser. The commission comes out of the merchant’s margin, not out of your pocket.
Why we disclose this
This disclosure is made in accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). We believe you are entitled to know when a publisher has a financial interest in what it recommends, and we would tell you regardless of what the law required.
How this affects what we publish
A commercial relationship does not buy coverage on this site, and no merchant has editorial control over what we write. We will say when we think a product is not a good fit, or not worth the money, even where a commission is available. Where our opinion is an opinion, we present it as one.
That said, you should read anything on this site with its commercial context in mind, and make your own assessment before buying.
What we are not
We are not the manufacturer, seller or distributor of any product referenced here. We do not process payments, hold inventory, ship orders or handle returns. Orders are placed on the merchant’s own website and are governed by that merchant’s terms and refund policy.
If you need help with an order, a charge, a delivery or a refund, contact the merchant or the payment processor shown on your receipt. We have no access to your order and cannot act on it.
